Force Majeure For
Wingtack C5 Resin Line
Sartomer Company has declared force majeure for its Wingtack C5 resins. The declaration was made as a result of Hurricane Rita and its impact on the company’s manufacturing facilities in Beaumont, TX. This force majeure, which was declared on Sept. 26, does not affect any other Sartomer product lines.
Sartomer’s Wingtack facility experienced minor damage from the storm, and it remains shut down until a more detailed assessment can be made. The plant was shut down several days in advance of Hurricane Rita. Shipments from the Beaumont site ceased at that time and as of press time, it was not known when shipping would resume. All efforts are being made to resume normal supply to customers as soon as possible. The force majeure will remain in affect until advised otherwise by Sartomer.
